AsiaTown Community Organizer

The AsiaTown Community Organizer will lead MidTown Cleveland, Inc. (MTC) and Asian Services in Action, Inc.’s (ASIA) outreach efforts to meet, engage, and build relationships in and around the AsiaTown neighborhood and with the AAPI immigrant community in Cleveland.

In partnership with AsiaTown community stakeholders and our AsiaTown team at MTC, and ASIA, the AsiaTown Community Organizer will lead outreach efforts to meet, engage, and build relationships with residents in and around AsiaTown.

The Community Organizer will also support advocacy efforts and facilitate connections with the health and social services at Asian Services in Action, Inc.

This position requires flexibility to work some evenings and weekends. MidTown offers competitive compensation and benefits. The salary range for this position is $35,000-$38,000 plus benefits. MidTown is an equal opportunity employer.

We are happy to announce our newest program, in partnership with Downtown Cleveland Alliance, will begin soon in Midtown and we are actively looking for people interested in working as Ambassadors in their neighborhood!

Clean and Safe Ambassadors are a visible and integral presence welcoming businesses, employees, and visitors in the MidTown neighborhood. Seven days a week, Ambassadors are active from 7am - 12am, providing a wide range of supplemental services such as safety escorts, assisting with car lockouts and jump starts, and more in the MidTown area.

Ambassadors will provide a necessary alternative to public safety that is created by and for the community. This alternative model of community support will help promote the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical safety of community members.

Ambassadors will work between 24-32 hours each week and be paid up to $19 an hour.

In partnership with Towards Employment, The Cleveland Neighborhood Workforce Initiative – a Community Workforce and Training Project - is designed to build community resource knowledge, engagement and increase job readiness across Cleveland neighborhoods, as well as create opportunities for job growth and workforce trainings.

The ideal candidate is passionate about Cleveland neighborhoods, its residents. The Workforce Organizer will work with their team to engage with community residents, partners and surrounding entities as they recruit and provide workforce training information. The Workforce Organizer will focus on concentrated areas for data collection, engagement and outreach in the neighborhoods that are prioritized by their CDC and Towards Employment.
