3/29/2010 - Issue 1 Wins Three Major Endorsements
Dear Supporter, This past weekend was a great step forward for the “Yes on Issue 1” campaign. Three major newspapers – The Cincinnati Enquirer, The Plain Dealer and The Columbus Dispatch – published strong editorials urging Ohio voters to vote “Yes” on Issue 1 on May 4. Following are brief excerpts from the editorials with links to the full text for each: • The Cincinnati Enquirer: “…there are plenty of good reasons to support the Third Frontier – and to approve its extension now.... As we noted in a January editorial about the Third Frontier, this is about making the economic pie bigger. While it has had some growing pains, the concept is sound, and the program’s continuation is absolutely vital to Ohio’s future.” Read the full editorial. • The Plain Dealer: “Ohioans will have a chance on May 4 to cast a vote for the state’s future. They need to seize that opportunity by voting for Issue 1 and doubling down on the best economic development bet Ohio has made in decades: its Third Frontier program.” Read the full editorial. • The Columbus Dispatch: “Because this [initial Ohio Third Frontier] funding measure will expire soon, Issue 1 is vital to maintain this effort, which has been enormously rewarding to Ohio and Ohioans.” Read the full editorial. In addition to editorializing in support of Issue 1, The Cincinnati Enquirer also published a powerful feature story highlighting the benefits of the Ohio Third Frontier. Read the story here. With your help, we can continue to build on the great momentum these critical third-party endorsements have provided to the campaign. Forward these links on to friends, neighbors and colleagues to help the tide of support for Issue 1 continue to grow! Thank you for your continued support.
